The B.Voc program in Medical Imaging Technology at Guru Kashi University is designed to prepare graduates to effectively apply their knowledge and technical skills in medical imaging technology, providing high-quality clinical investigation support. Students will gain the ability to:

  • Perform Routine Procedures: Conduct standard clinical laboratory procedures in Hematology, Chemistry, Immunohematology, and Microbiology, adhering to quality control standards under the general supervision of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Pathologist.
  • Demonstrate Professional Skills: Exhibit technical proficiency, appropriate social behavior, and professional awareness required of a laboratory technician.
  • Problem-Solving and Error Correction: Use systematic problem-solving techniques to identify and correct procedural errors, address instrument malfunctions, seek proper supervisory support, and verify the accuracy of laboratory results.
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Manage and maintain laboratory equipment while following quality control and safety protocols.
  • Stay Updated: Engage in activities that enhance knowledge and skills in laboratory medicine, ensuring current knowledge and continuous professional development.
