B.Voc in Medical Imaging Technology
The B.Voc program in Medical Imaging Technology at Guru Kashi University is designed to prepare graduates to effectively apply their knowledge and technical skills in medical imaging technology, providing high-quality clinical investigation support. Students will gain the ability to:
- Perform Routine Procedures: Conduct standard clinical laboratory procedures in Hematology, Chemistry, Immunohematology, and Microbiology, adhering to quality control standards under the general supervision of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Pathologist.
- Demonstrate Professional Skills: Exhibit technical proficiency, appropriate social behavior, and professional awareness required of a laboratory technician.
- Problem-Solving and Error Correction: Use systematic problem-solving techniques to identify and correct procedural errors, address instrument malfunctions, seek proper supervisory support, and verify the accuracy of laboratory results.
- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Manage and maintain laboratory equipment while following quality control and safety protocols.
- Stay Updated: Engage in activities that enhance knowledge and skills in laboratory medicine, ensuring current knowledge and continuous professional development.
